Fangirl/fanboy struggles

Hey guys!
Recently, I watched Fantastic beasts and where to find them (review coming!) and my friend and me fell deeply in love with Credence (Credence Barebone protection squad!!!) and that reminded me of all the struggles we Fans know and probably can relate to.
You don’t choose to be in a Fandom or to be a Fangirl/Fanboy it just happens 😀

STRUGGLES
1.Taking every moment in a book or movie serious is one of the perks, we can get lost in stories and flee reality BUT if a beloved character dies or if something really, really bad happens there’s no help for us.
2. The feels can be overwhelming. If that character is just awesome, pretty, asdfghjklskks, not matter what. Well then this is what happens sometimes. Okay a lot.
lov-him-so-much
3. Ever had the situation that everybody around you is judging you because you get way too excited about things? Yeah. Over the moon excitement.
4. Adding to 3. : Ever made a funny reference from a Fandom you’re in and either nobody understands it or is judging you? Oh well.
believe-in-magic-you-muggle
5. You’re supposed to choose a ship but how is that even possible? HOW? I mean how could you choose between Klaroline, Maroline and Steroline? It’s hard!
Also, ship wars are the worst. So bloody.
6. THE FEELS! In general of course, I mean, why do they have to hurt but at the same time be so wonderful?
7. Social life? What is that? Spending the whole day on twitter, stalking your favourite actors ad actress and watching a ton of interviews is social enough. #stalkingskills
fangirl-probs-25
8. Your absolute favourite actor/author or whoever you love doesn’t know you exist. That realization HURTS! Just a little. Sorry.
9. Every Fangirl and Fanboy out there is #teamnosleep. Luckily some of us use concealer 😀
10. The Wifi is down and your best friend calls you because Emma Watson just tweeted something absolutely hilarious and you.just.can’t.read.it.
11.Binge-watching one show after another and totally forgetting that there’s work to do! Damn it!

Can anyone relate to those struggles? What struggles do you know or have to add? Let me know!

2017 Resolution// Goodreads goal, reading, blogging

Hello booklovers!
2016 is over and what a year it was! Is it just me or was it just as half as long as it would’ve been? I hope you all had a good start into 2017 and celebrated with your friends and family.
Today, I want to tell you (and me) my bookish resolutions for 2017. Do you have any? 🙂

Reading
This year, I won’t stress myself out because of reading. I’ll neither force myself to read nor do I have a goal that has to be completed. But more to that later. Reading is a hobby for me, which also means that I shouldn’t pressure myself. I noticed that lot of blogger or booktuber have this issue. What about you?
I also decided to use my bookmarks more often this year. Normally random objects are the victims 😀 (Normally it’s a hair tie).

Goodreads reading goal
As I mentioned briefly, I don’t have a big reading goal this year. I probably will set a really low one because I don’t want to stress out because I still have to read this and that book or a certain amount of books. Another reason is that I’ll do my A-Levels this year and go abroad for 6 months, so I don’t know how many books I’ll get to read.
But I’ll still plan on reading a lot.

Blogs
As for this blog, I’ll plan on posting more regularly and have fixed days where I pot something. However, I still don’t know which days that will be. How do you plan your blog posts?

The struggle of TBR’s

Hey book lovers!

Soooo, recently I was struggling to find a book on my TBR that I was interested in reading because as we all know there are so many books but so little time… I still don’t know what to read after crooked kingdom because it has to be something good, something that helps me getting over a book hangover (probably). Do you know this problem when looking for your next read but being completely overwhelmed by the choice? (Except you don’t have a TBR, which is a lot easier sometimes to be honest!)

Since I can’t decide what to read next, I’d like to ask you guys!

Books that I have at home are: “the winners curse” by Marie Rutkoski, “red rising” by Pierce Brown, “witch hunter” by Virginia Becker, the first book in the geisha trilogy by Leigh Bardugo (not quite sure if that can cure a book hangover haha) and “alienated” by Melissa landers.

What woukd you recommend?

MY THOUGHTS
I was so keen to read the first book in the trilogy since Mai (when I got it on my London Trip) but haven’t read it since, so it was high time to read it!
However people who are more likey to read plot based books may have to get used to this -very character based- book (but believe me it’s very easy to read this book even if you’re more the plot reader like I am 😉 )Read More »

MY THOUGHTS
Since this is the conclusion to the Mortal Instruments-Series beware of spoilers!
I think the book ended well even though I thought it was kind of predictable.

Harry Potter & the cursed child *J.K. Rowling, John Tiffany, Jack Thorne*

Aloha lovelies!
I finished reading Harry Potter (the play) a few weeks ago and I thought it would be just right to tell you my opinion since I am a biiiig Potterhead (and proud of it :D)

It was always difficult being Harry Potter and it isn’t much easier now that he is an overworked employee of the Ministry of Magic, a husband and father of three school-age children.

While Harry grapples with a past that refuses to stay where it belongs, his youngest son Albus must struggle with the weight of a family legacy he never wanted. As past and present fuse ominously, both father and son learn the uncomfortable truth: sometimes, darkness comes from unexpected places.

MY THOUGHTS
I was very surprised with this book because I did not expect it to be as it as 😀

Characters:
We know them, we love them. We get a new insight of our beloved characters since they changed over the past 19 years after the final book of the Harry Potter series ended (duh) but I could not find a lot which reminded me of the characters that I used to know. It was very interesting to say how their behaviour changed and also how the kids of  our heroes are but it all seemed very strange to me.

Plot:
All in all, it was a very thrilling story even though it had some things that I had problems with.
It was very interesting to get an all-round view of each character and what they are doing but again, everything seemed to strange and different.

Writing:
Since this is a play, it was a totally different feeling to read this book. I loved that I almost flew through it ❤
Super easy and fun read.

A darker shade of magic *V.E. Schwab*

Hello my lovely bookfellows!
So it took me ages to finally get to write something here again (I know..). I had a lot  of things going on that I had to deal with but now I got some time to finally review a book that I read a few wekks ago!

A Darker Shade final for Irene

Author      : V.E. Schwab/ Victoria Schwab
Publisher : Tor/TitanPages         : 400
ISBN          : 0765376458
Genre        : YA, Fantasy

Kell is one of the last Antari, a rare magician who can travel between parallel worlds: hopping from Grey London — dirty, boring, lacking magic, and ruled by mad King George — to Red London — where life and magic are revered, and the Maresh Dynasty presides over a flourishing empire — to White London — ruled by whoever has murdered their way to the throne, where people fight to control magic, and the magic fights back — and back, but never Black London, because traveling to Black London is forbidden and no one speaks of it now.

Officially, Kell is the personal ambassador and adopted Prince of Red London, carrying the monthly correspondences between the royals of each London. Unofficially, Kell smuggles for those willing to pay for even a glimpse of a world they’ll never see, and it is this dangerous hobby that sets him up for accidental treason. Fleeing into Grey London, Kell runs afoul of Delilah Bard, a cut-purse with lofty aspirations. She robs him, saves him from a dangerous enemy, then forces him to take her with him for her proper adventure.

But perilous magic is afoot, and treachery lurks at every turn. To save both his London and the others, Kell and Lila will first need to stay alive — a feat trickier than they hoped.

New In

Aloha guys!
The other day, I got some new bookish stuff and a book in the mail. I literally waited for ages but it finally arrived YAY!
I ordered the book and some other stuff from book depository and if you haven’t checked it out yet, I highly recommend you do because it’s just awesooommeee!
They have loads of books (duh..) and some special editions of books and also some goodies like bookmarks and merch and everything.

And this is what I bought:

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

This is what I got. The colouring bookmarks were for free (I didn’t order them, they are a goodie I got extra) and I looooveee them! Can’t wait to colour them and make them individual.
And of course the best thing is “Wolf by wolf” by Ryan Graudin! I’m so freaking excited to read this book because everyone is raving about it.
Have you read the book? And have you already made some experiences with book depository?

And before I forget to mention this: I won’t be able to post new reviews and tags for the next 14 days or so because I finally have holidays! (YAY!) But sadly, I won’t be able to take my laptop with me and post some stuff 😦

Hope you’re having a great night/day!
See you very soon
